Artemis Accords: A Model for Space Settlement International Protocols?

A new Beyond Earth Institute survey report recommends that the U.S. should establish a whole-of-government sectoral trade and exploration agreement with like-minded allies focused on space commercial development and the eventual establishment of permanent human communities in space. NASA’s Artemis Accords appears to be a step in that direction. This program will review the Beyond Earth report, receive an update by NASA’s Mike Gold on the Artemis Accords, and engage an expert panel to discuss the importance of the Artemis Accords and in what ways it might serve as a template for multilateral protocols relating to space settlement.
